I started listening to Podcasts regularly this week on my commute. I’ve listened to them on & off before but really got into them full force this week.
It’s made my walk + train to & from work so much more enjoyable. I actually feel like I’m learning and thinking instead of aimlessly walking, updating my inbox or scrolling through social media outlets.
These are a few of my favorites from just this past week – I’ve listened to a few episodes of each & plan on listening to more in their series. Most are #girlpower 🙂
Girlboss Radio – Nasty Gal founder and author of #Girlboss Sophia Amoruso interviews world-class girlbosses who have made their mark in creative, cultural, and business ventures to extract solid advice from the lessons they’ve learned along the way.
Monocycle by Leandra Medine – If you’re a fan of the website Man Repeller you probably already listen to this Podcast but I just LOVE Leandra. She’s goofy and real and just makes you want to give her a hug. She openly discusses her struggles with running a business as well as more personal issues such as going through IVF.
The Glossy Podcast – The Glossy Podcast is a weekly show discussing the impact of technology on the fashion and luxury industries with the people making change happen. This one is awesome for anyone in digital marketing or interested in the shift in the fashion industry.
Everybody’s Got Something – this is a Podcast by Robin Roberts that is extremely touching. She interviews people who have gone through devastatingly hard times, only to bounce back better than ever. These people discuss finding unexpected inner strength in the aftermath of adversity.
I’ve also heard that these are ones that you must subscribe to – on my list! Would love any other recommendations! xx
Bitch Sesh: A Real Housewives Breakdown – Casey Wilson and Danielle Schneider (Hotwives Of Las Vegas) LOVE the Real Housewives on Bravo, and they share that excitement on Bitch Sesh. Dont be tardy to the party!
You Must Remember This – You Must Remember This is a storytelling podcast exploring the secret and/or forgotten histories of Hollywood’s first century. It’s the brainchild and passion project of Karina Longworth (founder of Cinematical.com, former film critic for LA Weekly), who writes, narrates, records and edits each episode. It is a heavily-researched work of creative nonfiction: navigating through conflicting reports, mythology, and institutionalized spin, Karina tries to sort out what really happened behind the films, stars and scandals of the 20th century.
Women of the Hour with Lena Dunham – Lena Dunham hosts this podcast miniseries about friendship, love, work, bodies and more.
Stuff Mom Never Told You – an audio podcast from HowStuffWorks that gets down to the business of being women from every imaginable angle.
