palazzo avino.

Palazzo Avino… the most magical hotel in the mountains overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

My photos are going to speak for themselves but I truly don’t even think they are able to show how special this place is. We started planning our trip back in September and we came across Palazzo Avino. We found them on Instagram and noticed their hashtag #palazzoavinoaddict — we were immediately addicted.

While PA was our splurge for the trip, we booked WAY in advance & were able to secure a great rate. SO if you ever go here– plan to book in advance and in the off season. Pretty sure if you were to look now it would be very high because they are getting into peak season. I’m sure the rooms with window views & balconies are quite amazing 🙂 Our cute little room had an unreal bath tub = pure happiness.

Overall… the views, the service & the amenities {i.e. Clubhouse by the sea, anytime use of the Turkish baths + sauna + steam in the Spa} that we experienced were worth every penny.

Some words I would use to describe Palazzo Avino — Incredible, dreamy, magical, breathtaking, once in a lifetime. We will never forget our stay here and can only hope we will make it back someday for a special occasion. 20th anniversary!? Whenever it is, I hope you stay exactly the same, Palazzo Avino!

If you’ve read my blog for awhile you know I love a good monogram AND / or logo. Their lion logo was on absolutely everything. This may not mean much to some people but to me — JUST HEAVEN. It was even on the socks that the staff wore at the Clubhouse by the Sea. And the french fry containers. I can’t even.

The Clubhouse by the Sea is a private villa acquired by Palazzo Avino for their guests to use while they stay at PA – it’s a short 15 minute shuttle ride from the mountains to the water. We went twice, met some friends from NYC the 2nd time and absolutely died of happiness every single minute.

Now I am just going to share about 100+ photos. Sorry I’m not sorry.

They give you a bottle of champagne when you check in — we headed straight for the 4th floor hot tub. We went up here every night of our stay to recap the day sitting under the stars. I know I can shut up now 🙂

Oh yeah, they also have a basket of books in case you forgot yours. And if you had a book sitting in your room they put Palazzo Avino book marks in them. I die.

Not only was the stay here completely perfect, the town of Ravello {which I will get to in a later post} was like the icing on the cake. Adorable, quiet, amazing food. It really felt like we were floating at times.

Side note: I’m really happy we didn’t stay in Positano. It tends to be VERY crowded during the day — we went twice and it’s gorgeous but you gotta know you are in for a million people everywhere.

However, we were never there at night – we heard it calms down. In my opinion staying in Ravello {doesn’t have to be at PA} would be a more enjoyable, authentic {think little kids playing soccer in the main square} & relaxing experience. Just depends on what you are looking for.

PS – Richard wants to do a full blog post on our meal at Rossellini’s {the Michelin star restaurant at Palazzo Avino} — stay tuned 🙂

PSS – some links to outfits I’m wearing in the above photos are below. Cheers! xx
