weekend recap.

Wonderful weekend at home with Richard & his family. We’ve been so busy the past couple weeks so it was incredibly nice to have the weekend in Hoboken.

Not technically the weekend but here are a few pics of Wednesday night at the Hoboken Under the Stars showing of Big Hero 6. This is such a fun summer activity 🙂

The beautiful NYC skyline shines bright in the background & you bring your own seating and food {or buy from Mister Softee – the obvious choice}.

Friday AM coffee stop at Empire Coffee – I will argue one of the best coffee shops I’ve ever been to. They have an unreal variety of coffee flavors.

^pretty flower stands all over the place in Hoboken

Friday night we went to the Hoboken Biergarten with one of Richard’s best friends – we had never been & it’s such a fun spot & the food was delish. Weekend calories don’t count, I’m convinced.

We then made our way for one more cocktail at Pier 13 – I can never get enough of the twinkle lights + skyline.

Hard to believe Saturday was August 1st. August calendar girl by Inslee 🙂

Inslee has the best prints {see the custom one that my parents gave us for our 1 year anniversary last year – still one of my very favorite gifts EVER!}

Saturday was spent in Ridgewood – stopped in Kate Spade & saw these adorable rings – {also love this knot ring} as well as TJ Maxx, Best Buy {Richard’s fav} & a cousins picnic reunion with the fam.

Saturday night we went to dinner with Richard’s mom at Onieals on the cutest side street {again with the twinkle lights.} It was very first place we ate when looking for apartments in Hoboken & their food is always consistently amazing.

Sunday I got ready for the week ahead & made some chicken salad – recipe here and overnight oats {there are SO many recipes but I went with this one from LaurenConrad.com – the omelet muffins also look worth trying!}
