Passion for Pink

I love pink and white stripes. Oh, you couldn’t tell? Surprise! I do have one note on these stripes: they must be pale pink. I’m not a huge fan of hot or bright pink stripes (for decorating, that is… for clothes I’m all about ’em).

Here are some photos I’ve collected that incorporate pink and white stripes into decorating & design.

This next photo was found on Two’s a Company’s Pinterest boards. They mentioned finding Caitlin McGauley’s illustrations from my blog yesterday & I’m so glad they did because I LOVE reading their posts. Already found some NYC spots that I must try (I will go to the Shake Shack asap)!

Who can resist this? Too cute. Let’s hope I have girls…

Another pale pink inspiration came from working for an amazing interior designer in Cincinnati this summer. I discovered and became obsessed with Mrs. Howard. Phoebe Howard is an unbelievable designer who has stores (named Mrs. Howard) located in Atlanta, Jacksonville and Charlotte. Phoebe’s first book, The Joy of Decorating, is out of this world. I really can’t say enough. You can purchase off her website here.

This pale pink room was inspired by the mini antique loveseat seen in the first photo below. In the book, it describes this loveseat as “an example of finding a specific object that you are drawn to and using it as the foundation for a room’s decoration.”

I just love it! Read Mrs. Howard’s blog & The Power of Pink post.
